Player Profile:
Alex started his career with Grays Athletic in 2009 before signing for Dagenham & Redbridge in May 2010, where he stayed for six years.
During his time with the Daggers, Alex went on loan to Ebbsfleet United, Concord Rangers, Chelmsford City, Hayes & Yeading United, Maidstone United and Whitehawk.
On leaving Dagenham in June 2016, he signed for Margate as a free agent. Alex had to be substituted in a 1-0 Thanet Cup loss at home to Ramsgate on 9.7.16 when he tangled with the visitors’ Luke Girt.
However, he scored the winning goal in the 90th minute of the opening league match of the season, a 20-yard shot in a 1-0 victory over Bath City at Hartsdown on 6.8.16.
After the Bath game, Alex told Kent Online: “I was speaking to the gaffer [Nikki Bull] the other day and, without putting any pressure on me, he said ‘I feel like you've got everything, maybe just (improve) your end product, add some goals to your game'.”
Alex scored once more for the club, in a 6-1 win at Greenwich Borough in the Kent Senior Cup on 8.11.16. Along with other senior players, he was released by the club in November and joined Whitehawk.
He signed for Hemel Hempstead Town in July 2017 and stayed with the Tudors for one-and-a-half seasons before leaving for another National League South side East Thurrock United in December 2018.
He was, however, unable to prevent the Rocks from suffering relegation at the end of the 2018-19 season and re-signed for Chelmsford City in May 2019. Alex joined Hornchurch in February 2020.
