Player Profile:

Ivory Coast-born keeper who played for Waltham Forest in the Isthmian Division One North in 2013-14. He made a one-off appearance for Margate in 2014-15. He played in an Isthmian League Cup tie at home to Faversham on 18.11.14 that Margate won 3-1.

Amadou finished the season with North Greenford United of the Southern League Division One Central and stayed with them in 2015-16. He then played for Grays Athletic in the Isthmian Premier in 2016-17.

In 2017-18, Amadou played for Cheshunt and had a key role in helping Dulwich Hamlet win promotion from the Isthmian Premier via the play-offs. He saved two shoot-out penalties in their play-off final victory over Hendon on 7.5.18.

After spells with Merstham and Kingstonian, he joined Bognor Regis in October 2019.

Amadou joined Margate in the summer of 2022. Manager Andy Drury said: "Amadou became available. I think he's one of the best goalkeepers in the league - if not the best. He's very tall, commanding, a good leader, good with his feet and good coming off his line. So he's got everything you need as a goalkeeper."

He played in a 2-1 Thanet Cup defeat against Ramsgate at Hartsdown on 30.7.22 – though he was shown on the team sheet as ‘trialist’. He started the season as Margate’s first choice goalie.

He had made 12 appearances when, in October 2022, it was announced that Amadou was leaving the club. A message from him said: "Thank you to Margate FC and everyone associated to the club!  Due to recent family addition and changes in personal circumstances, I have to stay close to home. I wish the club the very best for the rest of the season."

Margate had conceded 11 goals in the last three matches that Amadou had played in goal.

He joined Horsham in November 2022 and moved on to Met Police in March 2023. After a spell at Sevenoaks Town, he signed for Leatherhead in February 2024. In 2024-25, he was at Croydon Athletic.
