Player Profile:

Ben started his career with Leyton Orient before joining Maidstone United in September 2015.

He had a loan spell with Greenwich Borough in 2015-16. He was also loaned to Sittingbourne in 2016-17 and his debut for the Brickies - at home to South Park on 27.8.16 in Isthmian League Division One South - was memorable because he missed the kick-off due to a collapsed bridge on the M20. Team-mate Danny Rumball played in goal for the first 13 minutes until Ben arrived. Sittingbourne won 2-0.

There followed spells at Faversham Town, Whyteleafe and a return to Greenwich Borough before joining Sevenoaks Town for 2018-19.

Ben signed for Margate in November 2021 following the departure of Pat Ohman and made his debut in a 2-1 defeat at home to Bognor on 20.11.21.

Manager Jay Saunders told the club website: "I'm pleased to welcome Ben to the club, he is a player I've known for a number of years as I had him as my number two whilst at Maidstone.

"Since then, he's pushed on and done well. He's had a good spell at Sevenoaks and I think he's a player who can come in and do well for us at Margate in the long-term."

Ben kept four consecutive clean sheets between 5.2.22 and 15.2.22.

Ben made 29 appearances in 2021-22. He was in goàl for the Isthmian League Cup Final against Horsham at Aveley that Margate lost 4-0 on 13.4.22.

It was initially announced that Ben would be staying at Hartsdown for 2022-23 but, just before the season started, he was released.

"In terms of a goalkeeper, I am looking to go in a different direction," manager Andy Drury told the club website.

Ben was in goal for the Chats in the Kent Senior Cup Final against Margate on 3.5.23. He was part of the Chatham side that won the Isthmian South East title in 2023-24.

Ben had a loan spell at Raynes Park Vale early in 2024 but signed on at Chatham for the 2024-25 campaign. He was with Risborough Rangers of the Spartan South Midlands League in 2025-26.
