Player Profile:

Pacy left-sided player born in Jamaica who progressed from Ashford Town's youth team into their senior side, making his first-team debut during the 1974/75 campaign. Dalton went on to spend several seasons at Ashford and, by the end of 1977, he'd made over 100 appearances for the club. He later dropped into local amateur football in the Ashford area.

In August 1979, he joined Margate and made his debut in 1-1 draw with Hillingdon at Hartsdown on 1.9.79, playing at left-back. Dalton had a good game and he went on to play regularly during the following two months of the 1979/80 campaign. He played in midfield as well as in both full-back positions but, on 25.9.79, Dalton failed to show up for a game at Hastings. The same thing happened on 24.11.79 when he failed to arrive for a match at Bognor Regis. At that point, Dalton asked to leave as he wanted to rejoin Ashford and manager Terry Morris said "as he was not under contract I had no option but to release him". The Isle of Thanet Gazette said that it was a "shock departure". Dalton had made 16 appearances when he left and, as expected, he soon returned to Ashford.

He later had a spell with Sheppey and was with them during the 1981/82 season.

Dalton also played for Hythe in the early 1980s.

In 2007, he was living in Kennington near Ashford.
