Player Profile:

Danny, a left-back or central defender, had spells at Millwall and QPR as a youngster and was selected by the Republic of Ireland U18 side. After his release by QPR, Danny signed for League One Yeovil Town in January 2011 who loaned him to Histon of Conference North.

Without having featured in Yeovil’s first-team, he joined Histon permanently at the start of the 2011-12 campaign. It was here that his form during 100 appearances caught the eye of Luton Town boss John Still, who signed him for the Hatters of the Conference Premier in summer 2013 on a two-year deal.

He injured his knee soon after the move and had loan spells at Bishop's Stortford and Brackley. In May 2015, Danny was suspended by Luton following a breach of club discipline. The Hatters then released him at the end of the 2014-15 season. Danny had not played for the first-team.

He signed for National League South side Dartford in summer 2015 but suffered a recurrent cruciate injury in pre-season which ruled him out for the entire 2015-16 campaign.

After some months getting himself fit at Millwall, Danny signed for Margate in summer 2016. Manager Nikki Bull described him as a “low risk, high reward” signing.

Bull told Kent Online: "He's a young, wholehearted, committed player who likes a tackle and he's got that bit between his teeth to prove people wrong."

Danny said: “I did my rehab down at Millwall, they looked after me fantastically. I was there as a kid all through the youth team and I knew the physio. They took me in and looked after me and set me on the road to recovery.”

Danny made his Margate debut as a sub in a 2-1 defeat at Wealdstone on 13.8.16. His first start was in a 1-0 loss at Poole on 20.8.16.

In September, he went on a month’s loan to Isthmian Division One South side Greenwich Borough. His return for Margate was in a 2-1 home win over Hemel Hempstead on 8.10.16 and Kent Online said he put in an “outstanding display” in the centre of defence.

However, with the financial problems engulfing the club, Danny, who had made 13 appearances, left Margate in November and joined Isthmian League Billericay Town. After 23 appearances for the Essex club, he was released at the end of the 2016-17 season.

Danny joined Isthmian League Division One North side Barking for 2017-18 and later played for Beckenham Town in the SCEFL and Combined Counties League.
