Local reserve team player who made his first-team debut during the 1948/49 season. Don wore the number ten shirt in a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Sheppey on 6.11.48.

He continued to play for the reserves during the 1949/50 campaign and played three times for the first-team as a striker in April 1950.

Don then made three more first-team appearances during the early part of the 1950/51 season, the first of them on the left wing in a 3-0 defeat against Snowdown at Hartsdown Park on 23.8.50. His last outing was at right-back in a 5-4 defeat at Ramsgate on 28.10.50.

Don was still living locally in 1966 and at that time he was an eight handicap member of Westgate and Birchington Golf Club. In September 1966, Don reached the semi-final of the Evening News Weekend Golfers' Tournament before losing to the eventual winner. The competition had originally been entered by more than 10,000 players.
