Player Profile:
6' 4" centre half who spent his youth career with Norwich City, West Ham United and Sheffield Wednesday. Spells at Waltham Forest, Ware, Maldon & Tiptree United, Grays Athletic and VCD Athletic followed before National League Dover Athletic signed him in March 2017. He finished the 2016-17 season on loan at Oxford City and started the following campaign on loan at Whitehawk.
George first joined Margate in February 2018 on a 30-day loan from Dover. He returned to Crabble at the end of that period having made four appearances in which the team kept three clean sheets.
He was back at Hartsdown for a further loan in March. He was sent off for two bookable offences in a 4-2 win at home to Harlow Town on 7.4.18. He then scored in the final game of the season, a 1-1 draw against Dulwich Hamlet played at Tooting on 28.4.18.
That summer, George signed for Torquay United of National League South but suffered an ankle ligament injury and fell out of favour. He joined Dulwich Hamlet on loan in January 2019 until the end of the season.
He signed for Braintree Town in summer 2019 but was released just before the season started. He then had a spell at Concord Rangers.
George rejoined Margate at the start of October 2019 and went straight into the side for a 4-2 FA Cup win at Salisbury on 5.10.19. He went off injured in the first half of a 1-0 win at Bowers & Pitsea on 16.11.19 – it was his last game for the club. George had ruptured an Achilles tendon, which subsequently needed an operation.
In summer 2020, he signed for Hemel Hempstead Town of National League South but was soon at Essex Senior League club Enfield.
