Player Profile:
Goalkeeper who came through the ranks at Gillingham who he had joined at the age of nine. He represented Kent Schools in 2008 and 2009 and was awarded his first professional contract at Priestfield in 2016.
The Gills loaned him to Deal Town in 2015-16 and Chatham Town (a season-long loan in 2016-17).
Henry was released by Gillingham and joined Wycombe Wanderers who sent him on loan to Canvey Island in 2017-18.
Henry signed for Margate in the summer of 2018. Joint manager Mike Sandmann told the club's website: "Henry is a great young player who Browny and I are really looking forward to working with. I think he will thrive alongside our experienced defensive line-up. He's a big presence who is commanding and has a bright future ahead of him."
Henry saved a penalty in a 1-0 home defeat to Haringey Borough on 29.9.18. However, he fell out of favour with the management and his final game for the club was a 2-1 win at Potters Bar on 1.12.18.
After his release from Margate, Henry had a brief spell at Hythe Town and then played some matches for Charlton Under 23s.
In pre-season friendlies for 2019-20, Henry appeared for Ramsgate, Deal and Whitstable but ended up signing for Folkestone as competition for regular keeper Tim Roberts. He was loaned to SCEFL club Chatham in October 2020.
Henry then returned to Hythe Town in 2021-22 and spent the following season with SCEFL club Deal Town. On 19.8.23, Deal's FA Cup Preliminary Round tie at Lydd was abandoned late in the second half due to an injury to Henry. This followed a challenge from a corner with eight minutes left. Henry was struggling to breathe and needed to be taken to hospital.
