Player Profile:
Born in Gravesend, midfielder Jack joined Gillingham at the age of seven and progressed through the youth ranks of the club. He signed his first professional contract in April 2011.
Jack joined Conference South side Lewes in February 2011 on a one-month loan deal. He made his professional debut for Gillingham on 15.10.2011 as a sub in a 5-2 home win against Torquay United.
In December 2011, Jack joined Conference South outfit Welling United on an initial one-month loan which was later extended.
Evans was offered a free transfer by Gillingham manager Martin Allen in January 2013. He was loaned to Dartford that same month.
In May 2013, Jack signed for Conference National side Tamworth. He spent 2014-15 with Sutton United and played for Eastbourne Borough in 2015-16.
In the summer of 2016, Jack signed for Maidstone United, who had just won promotion to the National League. In January 2017, he went on loan to Hastings United.
In March 2017, he started a loan at Margate and made his debut as a sub in a 3-2 defeat at Hemel Hempstead Town on 18.3.17. He then started the remaining eight matches of the season.
Jack remained at Hartsdown for 2017-18 and was an important part of the team. He scored five goals during the season – oddly, three of them were against Staines Town in three different fixtures. Jack made 42 appearances, including six as a sub.
In summer 2018, Jack signed for Isthmian Premier Folkestone Invicta. However, during 2018-19, he dropped two levels to join SCEFL side Chatham Town and was part of their rise to the Isthmian Premier, becoming the club’s captain.
In summer 2025, it was announced by Billericay Town that they had signed Jack from Chatham. However, three weeks later, the Chats insisted that Jack was still their player but had been put on the transfer list. They said that no formal release had ever been agreed. Billericay then said there was an "unforeseen issue" regarding his registration. The transfer was still completed before the start of the 2025-26 season.
