Player Profile:
Jake started his senior career at Sittingbourne but came to prominence at Herne Bay where he scored 50 goals. In March 2019, he joined Maidstone United but had two injury-hit seasons, including a loan spell at Leatherhead, before joining Margate in summer 2021.
Manager Jay Saunders said: "He is young, hungry and keen to learn and improve his game. He has lots of natural talent and, with more games under his belt, I think that he can prove to be a real handful at this level."
The highlight of his time at Margate was a hat-trick in a 4-2 FA Cup replay win at Thame United on 7.9.21. He had scored a late equaliser in the first tie that finished 2-2 at Hartsdown on 4.9.21.
After 12 appearances, most as a sub, Jake left the club in October 2021. He had a brief spell at Horsham before joining Tonbridge Angels.
Jake started 2022-23 at Carshalton Athletic but soon moved on to Faversham where his father, former Margate player John, was manager (he had also managed him at Herne Bay). However, following his father’s sacking, Jake returned to Herne Bay but quickly moved on to Sheppey United.
In summer 2023, he joined Hythe Town. He signed for SCEFL side Lordswood ahead of 2024-25. He joined Bearsted for 2025-26.
