Player Profile:

Starting as a central midfielder, Jason began his career at Wessex League AFC Newbury. The club narrowly avoided relegation in 2005-06 and found themselves in financial difficulties. Jason signed for fellow Wessex League rivals Moneyfields where he was converted to a striker.

In September 2009, he signed for Isthmian League Premier Division side Bognor Regis Town. He had a very successful spell, scoring 95 goals in 126 appearances. He was due to be sold to Conference South side Eastleigh for a fee of £12,000 in January 2012. However, before the deal could take place, Jason was offered a trial at Premier League Newcastle United. On 10.1.12, Jason scored for Newcastle United Reserves in a 3-1 win over Wigan Athletic Reserves in the Premier Reserve League. However, the Magpies decided not to offer Jason a contract.

In January 2012, Jason signed for League Two club AFC Wimbledon on a two-and-a-half-year deal and made his Football League debut on 28.1.12 as a second-half substitute in a 2-1 defeat at home to Aldershot Town. The debut proved to be an ill-fated one, however, as he injured a tendon in his knee that sidelined him for nearly two months.

Worse was to follow in a game against Crawley Town on 14.4.2012 when Jason was stretchered off with a broken leg. He had broken both his tibia and his fibula which would prevent him playing again until the end of 2012. Jason was finally able to make his return on 29.12.12 in a 3-0 defeat at home to Oxford United.

In March 2013, Jason joined Conference side Dartford on a one-month loan to help improve his match fitness. Jason was released by AFC Wimbledon at the end of the season and rejoined the Darts on a permanent basis.

For the 2014-15 season, Jason teamed up with his former AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown by signing a two-year deal with Margate.

He made his competitive debut for Margate on the opening day of the season, a 1-0 win at home to Hampton on 9.8.14. His first goal came in a 2-0 win at Hornchurch on 6.9.14.

However, he found opportunities limited at Hartsdown Park, scoring four times in 16 appearances. He was loaned to former club Bognor Regis.

He returned to Bognor on a permanent basis for the 2015-16 season. He scored 45 goals in 52 games all competitions, in a season in which the Rocks reached the FA Trophy semi-final.

Jason then signed for Isthmian League Havant & Waterlooville in summer 2016 where he scored 40 goals in 57 league games over two seasons, helping the Hawks reach the National League. Jason scored the dramatic late winner in the final game of the 2017-18 season - at home to Concord - that clinched the National League South title on goal difference.

He left Havant in the summer of 2018 and signed for Isthmian League Dorking Wanderers. He enjoyed a further two promotions as the Surrey side reached the National League. On 6.2.19, he scored the only goal as Dorking beat Margate 1-0 at Hartsdown.

He rejoined Havant in summer 2022 but returned to Dorking in February 2023.
