Player Profile:
Goalie Jordan was a second year scholar at Brentford before being released at the end of the 2015-16 season.
With injuries to first-choice keeper Lewis Ward and manager Nikki Bull, Jordan made a one-off appearance for Margate on 22.10.16 in a National League South match at Hartsdown against Concord Rangers. Margate lost 5-1. Future Margate strikers Steve Cawley (a hat-trick) and Jordan Chiedozie (who scored once) netted for the away side.
Jordan then signed for Billericay Town but, without making a first-team appearance, was loaned to SCEFL club Cray Valley.
Jordan made a name for himself at Cray Valley. It was here that he became known for his strange habit of headbutting goalposts when he conceded a goal.
In February 2017, a video clip of him headbutting a post while playing against Ashford United went viral. The footage was shown by Sky TV's Soccer AM and Jordan went on the show to speak to presenter Helen Chamberlain about the incident.
In summer 2017, he signed for Sheppey United but then had spells at Dartford, Sittingbourne, Ramsgate and Herne Bay. Jordan started 2018-19 at Greenwich Borough.
Jordan joined Chatham Town in 2019-20. It was in April 2021, while on the books of Chatham, that Jordan announced he was retiring from football at the age of just 22. He said he had fallen out of love with the game.
However, Jordan changed his mind and started the 2021-22 campaign at Ashford United. An FA Cup tie against his former club Chatham in August 2021 proved eventful for Jordan. First, he was involved in an incident with opposing supporters and had drink thrown over him. Then, during the game, he fractured his elbow in three places.
He returned to fitness and was in goal when Ashford lost the Isthmian South East play-off final 2-0 to Herne Bay at Homelands on 30.4.22. That was his last game for the club.
He went on to sign for Larkfield & New Hythe where he won promotion from the SCEFL Division One play-offs in 2023-24. In August 2024, Jordan was sent off in an FA Vase tie at Selsey. This saw him leave the club with manager Danny Lye citing his poor disciplinary record.
