He joined National League side Maidstone United in September 2016 but in December switched to Hemel Hempstead Town and then Hungerford Town in January 2017. A brief stay at Chelmsford City was followed by a move to Slough Town in March 2017.

It was announced in June 2017 that Liam had signed for Braintree but he was unveiled as a Margate signing just ahead of the start of the 2017-18 season. He was injured early in the campaign and did not make his Margate debut until 18.11.17 as a sub in a 2-0 win at Lowestoft. Liam made a series of sub appearances and only one start (in a Kent Senior Cup tie at Bromley on 12.12.17) before leaving the club.

Later in 2017-18, he signed for Met Police. He played for Farnborough in 2018-19.

He signed for Southern League Thame United in August 2021 but was in the colours of Combined Counties League side Risborough Rangers later that season. He was still with Risborough in 2023-24.
