Player Profile:
After junior trials with Arsenal, Marvin played for Waltham Forest and Ridgeway Rovers before joining Gillingham as a youth player in July 2005. He signed as a professional on a one-year contract on the eve of the 2007-08 season and made his first-team debut as a substitute in an away defeat to Luton Town in League One on 25.8.07.
After a loan spell at Folkestone Invicta, Marvin was released by Gillingham in March 2008 and joined Dover Athletic. He started the 2008-09 season as a trialist at AFC Wimbledon and Lincoln City before signing for Cypriot side APEP in January 2010. Marvin played for Hemel Hempstead Town and then joined Conference South club Eastbourne Borough in February 2012.
Marvin spent time playing in Australia, first in the Victoria Premier for Southern Stars before moving in July 2013 to Albany Creek in the Brisbane Premier League. He returned to England and joined Isthmian League club Ware.
Marvin returned to Eastbourne for the 2014-15 season before being released in February 2015, signing for Whitehawk until the end of the season. Marvin then played in the United States and returned to England for brief spells at Dartford and VCD Athletic before rejoining Eastbourne Borough for a third time in October 2015.
Marvin signed again for Whitehawk at the start of the 2016-17 season. Marvin joined Margate on loan from Whitehawk in February 2017 and made his debut in a 2-0 defeat at home to Chelmsford City on 28.2.17. Marvin made 10 appearances, including one as a sub, for Margate before the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
He rejoined Ware for 2017-18 before a spell with Haringey Borough. In 2018-19, he joined Eastbourne Borough again. He rejoined Whitehawk for the start of the 2019-20 season.
Marvin has a Sri Lankan mother and, in May 2021, he received a call-up from Sri Lanka to play in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and made his international debut on 5.6.21 in a 3-2 defeat against Lebanon.
After spells with Burgess Hill Town and Sittingbourne, Marvin signed for Hythe Town in September 2022 but missed the Isthmian South East Division play-off final defeat against his former club Whitehawk through injury. He signed for FC Baresi of the Essex Alliance Football League Senior Division before returning to Hythe Town in November 2023.
