Player Profile:

Portuguese striker born in Lisbon who had stints on the books of Operario and then Benfica as a youth. Sporting Lisbon then enquired about Olinto but he was unable to pursue the club's interest due to family commitments.

After moving to England, Olinto trained with Margate for a while before having a spell with Ramsgate. He then returned to Margate for the 2012/13 campaign as part of the club's Academy.

After playing for the Under-18's and reserves throughout the season, Olinto made his first-team debut as a substitute in a 4-0 win over Cray in the Isthmian League Premier Division at Bromley on 1.4.13 and he also featured as a late sub in a 4-2 home defeat against Ebbsfleet in the Kent Senior Cup on 23.4.13. After that game, Margate's joint manager Craig Holloway told the club's website: "It's good to get some of the young lads involved with the first-team, just to see how things work. He can go back to college and say 'I've come on for the first-team' and it gives the other boys an incentive to work hard."

Olinto stayed with the club for the 2013/14 campaign but made no first-team appearances.
