Local player who acted as understudy goalkeeper, playing mainly in minor cup ties.

Owen, then Margate's Under 18s keeper, made his first-team debut on 11.11.14 in a home Kent Senior Cup tie with Herne Bay, which Margate won 3-1.

His next appearance wasn't until 8.11.16 in another Kent Senior Cup tie away at Greenwich Borough, which Margate won 6-1.

He waited another two years for his next game - a 2-0 defeat at Tooting in the Isthmian League Cup on 18.9.18.

Owen finally played in an Isthmian League match on 12.11.19 at home to Bognor - a 1-6 defeat. He also played some games for SCEFL side Deal Town in 2019-20, including a friendly at Hartsdown on 16.7.19, a game Margate won 4-0.

Owen was between the sticks for our 5-2 Thanet Cup win at Ramsgate on 31.7.21. He also played an Isthmian League match on 5.3.22 at Brightlingsea Regent, a 2-1 win for Margate.

His final first-team appearance was on 27.9.22 at Faversham in a 5-0 Kent Senior Cup victory.

Owen later became Margate's goalkeeping coach.
