Burly full-back born in the Canterbury area who attended Ashford Grammar School. Pat later joined the RAF and signed for Ashford Town whilst serving.

In June 1948 he joined Margate and made his debut in a 1-1 draw with Gillingham Reserves at Hartsdown Park on 21.8.48. It was the opening day of the 1948/49 campaign. Pat went on to make a total of 12 first team appearances in the early part of the season but In January 1949 he left Hartsdown and rejoined the Nuts & Bolts.

He was still with Ashford during the 1951/52 campaign and a player profile in one of the club's programmes said that Pat possessed "one of the longest kicks in the Kent League, the strength of which he is sometimes apt to underestimate". He left Ashford at the end of that season.

Pat died in the Canterbury area on 8.12.08 aged 83.
