Midfielder Ryan was part of the West Ham Academy until 13 and then progressed through the youth system at Colchester United where he captained the U21 team. 

He was loaned to Margate in January 2024 and made five appearances, his debut being in a 1-1 draw at home to Concord Rangers on 13.1.24.

Ryan was released by Colchester at the end of the season and signed for Wingate & Finchley.
