Player Profile:

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Solomon and his family moved to London when he was an infant. He began his career as a trainee at Millwall but was released in the summer of 2004. He joined Bromley and had short spells with Maidenhead United, Fort Wayne Fever in the US, Tooting & Mitcham United, Weymouth, Chesham United and Windsor & Eton. He joined Conference South side Sutton United in March 2007 after a second stint with Bromley.

In October 2007, Solomon joined League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge on an initial one-month loan deal from Sutton. His Daggers’ debut was in a 1-0 win at Leyton Orient in the Football League Trophy on 9.10.07. He signed a two-year contract with Dagenham in November 2007. At the end of the 2008-09 season, Solomon was voted the club's player of the year.

In August 2009, he signed a three-year deal with Championship side Cardiff City for a fee of up to £250,000. He made his Cardiff debut as a sub in a 2-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers on 29.8.09. In October 2010, Solomon re-joined the Daggers on loan until the end of the season.

He returned to Cardiff for 2011-12. After only two more appearances for the Bluebirds (making it nine in total for the club), Solomon joined Leyton Orient on loan in January 2012.

He was not offered a new contract by Cardiff and left the club in June 2012. He signed for Conference Premier side Mansfield Town in October 2012. After one appearance, he left and started a third spell at Bromley before leaving in February 2013.

In March 2013, Solomon was reunited with former Dagenham manager John Still at Conference Premier side Luton Town.

In January 2014, he completed a one-month loan move to Aldershot Town. Solomon was transfer listed by Luton at the end of the 2013-14 campaign.

In September 2014, he was loaned to Conference Premier side Dover Athletic. Solomon was released from his Luton contract in January 2015 and joined Dover on a permanent basis.

In June 2015, Solomon signed for Margate. Manager Terry Brown said: "Solomon was one of our first targets this summer and we are absolutely delighted to be signing a player of his calibre. He will bring composure to the side as well as lots of energy to our midfield. He is a great passer of the ball and is a real winner and the Margate fans should be excited about seeing him in action."

He scored twice for the club - in a 2-1 defeat at Concord Rangers on 31.8.15 and in a 4-1 win at home to Havant & Waterlooville on 7.11.15.

Not long after Terry Brown lost his job as manager, Solomon left Hartsdown in January 2016. He had made 14 appearances for the club.

He joined Cray Wanderers but was released in February 2017 and then had spells at Bishop’s Stortford, Phoenix Sports, Greenwich Borough and Three Bridges. His last club was Faversham Town in 2019-20. He had spent a few years as an academy manager with Millwall's Community Trust. He left football altogether in 2021 to work in recruitment.

In 2017, Solomon competed on TV show MasterChef UK. He had tried to spice up a chicken and pasta dish with tomato-based sauce and herbs but was eliminated in the first round. He said on the show: "You’ve really only got yourself to blame when you know the standard they are setting. I played it too safe."
