Local defender who joined Thanet United for the 1984-85 campaign and played regularly for the reserves during the season. Steve also made one appearance for the first-team, playing at right-back in an Eastern Floodlight Cup tie at Hastings on 7.3.85 that Thanet lost 2-1.

He stayed with the club for the 1985-86 and 1986-87 seasons playing exclusively for the reserves and also made a single appearance for them during the 1987/88 campaign.

In later years Steve left the Thanet area and moved to Maidstone where he became a prominent coach at youth level.

In 2011, he was Head Coach of Ditton Minors Under-16s who were based in the Tonbridge and Malling district of Kent.
