Thanet's fortunes improved slightly this season. Manager Terry Morris resigned in November and Peter Donnelly took over for the rest of the campaign, guiding the team away from the relegation zone. The highlight of the season was the surprise FA Cup victory at Hastings United of the Southern League Premier Division.
