Excerpts from Alan Kay’s Scrapbook – July 1946
After the war, Alan Kay was elected to the Management Committee of the reformed Margate Football Club. In 1951, he was appointed by the Club as its Honorary Secretary and Treasurer – a position that he held with commitment and distinction for the next twenty-seven years. During this time he also served two spells on the Management Committee of the Kent League.
We are grateful to Alan’s son, Ian for the loan of his father’s MFC scrapbooks. They offer a glimpse into those memorable post-war years with photos and articles, preserving the legacy of Margate Football Club.
