Whole-hearted player born in Cyprus who was on Barnet's books as a schoolboy during the 1997/98 season and later joined Wycombe.

Alex played for Wycombe's Under-17's side during 2000/01 and was also in their youth ranks during the 2001/02 campaign.

He moved on to Hoddesdon of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division for the 2002/03 season and Alex was chosen as the youth team's 'Player of the Year'. He also played several times for Northampton's Under-19's side during 2002/03 as well as having a brief spell with Kettering where he featured in their youth sides.

Alex played for Kidderminster's Under-19's team during the 2003/04 campaign and at the time he was studying at Southgate College. Alex also played for the College team during 2003/04 and he was part of their Under-19's side that reached the British Colleges Trophy Final before losing on penalties to Sutton Coldfield College Under-19's after a 1-1 draw at Staines.

In the summer of 2004 Alex played in some of Margate's pre-season friendlies and he was signed by the club ahead of the 2004/05 Conference South campaign. He made his debut as a substitute on the opening day of the season as Margate lost 3-2 to Bognor Regis at their adopted home in Ashford. Over the course of the next six weeks Alex made eight more substitute appearances.

On 2.10.04 he finally started for the first time as Margate took on Waltham Forest in an FA Cup tie at Ashford. Alex played in an unaccustomed left wing-back role as Margate won 2-1 and assistant manager Kevin Raine told the Isle of Thanet Gazette that he "didn't do himself any harm." Alex then started the next six matches, usually playing at right wing-back although he was naturally a midfielder. After a 3-2 defeat at Walton & Hersham on 6.11.04 Alex was dropped to the bench for one game but he returned to the side for a 3-3 draw at St.Albans on 6.11.04. The Thanet Times said he "performed well" in his preferred midfield position but Alex then only made one substitute appearance in Margate's next five matches.

On 14.12.04 he returned in midfield as Margate lost 3-0 at Bishop's Stortford and that was the start of a 20 game run in the side for Alex during which he mostly played in midfield. The Isle of Thanet Gazette described him as "hard-working" in its report on a 2-1 defeat at Welling on 28.12.04 and the Thanet Times praised Alex for a "superb performance" that "held the depleted midfield together" as Margate beat Redbridge 2-0 at Ashford on 22.1.05.

The Gazette said Alex "excelled" in midfield during a 3-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge in the Conference Cup at Ashford on 25.1.05 whilst the Thanet Times called him "tenacious" in its report on a 2-1 win over Basingstoke at Ashford on 5.2.05. The paper also said Alex continued "to improve in midfield". The last game of his lengthy run in the side was a 3-2 defeat against St.Albans at Ashford on 5.4.05 and Alex was taken off 20 minutes from the end of the match after what the Isle of Thanet Gazette called an "accident-prone" performance.

He missed the next two games due to joining League One club Oldham on a two week trial and Alex played for the Latics' reserves during his spell there before returning to Margate.

He was back in the side for a 3-1 defeat at Havant & Waterlooville on 23.4.05 and Alex then came on as a substitute in a 1-0 win over Bishop's Stortford at Ashford on 30.4.05 . That was his last outing of the season and he finished the campaign having made 41 appearances (12 as sub) without scoring.

In July 2005 Alex joined Crawley and played for their reserves during the early part of the 2005/06 season before moving on to Sutton in September 2005. He was released by Sutton early in November 2005 after making only a handful of appearances.

Alex then linked up with Dagenham & Redbridge where he played exclusively for the reserves, making his debut for them in a game against Maldon in the North East Division of the Capital Football League on 16.11.05. He made a few more appearances before rejoining Margate in January 2006 on a non-contract basis.

Manager Chris Kinnear told the Isle of Thanet Gazette that Margate had been chasing Alex for a while to bolster the midfield and said "To be fair, we need more legs in there instead of trying to play the pretty stuff. He'll give us that." Alex had his first outing of his second spell in a 1-1 draw at Maldon in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 7.1.06 and kept his place as Margate took on Staines at Hartsdown Park on 14.1.06. Alex scored in a 5-2 defeat, volleying home a loose ball, but was released a week later. Chris Kinnear told the Thanet Times "He was using us to try and get fit, which isn't on. He didn't turn up a couple of times and we need players who are totally committed to Margate Football Club."

Alex joined Heybridge immediately after leaving Margate and made his debut for them as a substitute in a 1-0 win at Hendon on 22.1.06. However he only made a few more appearances before linking up with Chesham in March 2006.

On 18.3.06 he was sent off as Chesham drew 2-2 with visitors Merthyr and it was only Alex's third outing for the club. He was released at the end of the 2005/06 season.

After a spell out of senior football Alex resurfaced when he joined Thurrock in November 2006 and in March 2007 he moved on to Arlesey where he scored once in 17 Isthmian League appearances (one as sub) before joining Hayes for the final weeks of the 2006/07 campaign. Alex played a few games for the club's reserves before the end of the season.

In August 2007 he signed for Cheshunt but only made seven Isthmian League appearances (four as sub) before leaving the club in November 2007. At that time he worked as a football coach in the London area.

After a lengthy stint out of senior football Alex joined Conference South club St.Albans in the summer of 2008 and played for their reserves before moving on to Histon in September 2008.

He turned out for Histon's reserves for the remainder of the 2008/09 campaign but didn't play anywhere after that.

In 2012 Alex was working as a tennis coach for a company in the London area.
