5' 11" tall Barking-born player who started his career as a junior at Leyton Orient, joining the club in 1988 and progressing through the O's youth teams. On 24.7.91 Andy played in a friendly at Margate and later made a few reserve team appearances before being loaned to Margate aged 18 at the end of March 1993.

The Thanet Times reported that he "enjoyed a good debut" in midfield as Margate won 1-0 at Braintree on 3.4.93 and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said that "once he had settled he displayed sound technique". Andy kept his place for the last five games of the 1992/93 season before returning to Orient after featuring in a 1-1 draw at Dunstable on 1.5.93.

In the summer of 1993 he was released by the O's and joined Dagenham & Redbridge for the 1993/94 campaign. He made three appearances (one as sub and only one of them in the Conference) for the Daggers before the club let him go in November 1993.

Andy then signed for Gillingham and in February 1994 the Gills loaned him to Hastings until the end of the 1993/94 season. On 4.8.94 Andy played in a friendly at Margate that ended as a 3-3 draw and on 13.8.94 he made his first team debut for the Gills as a substitute in a game against Hartlepool at Priestfield. He went on to make 15 senior appearances during the 1994/95 campaign, scoring once.

In the summer of 1995 Andy moved to Ireland and joined Sligo, the first of seven clubs he'd play for in either Ireland or Northern Ireland.

He spent a few months with Sligo before moving on to Derry for a brief spell.

In June 1996 Andy signed for Finn Harps but in August 1996 he was on the move again, this time linking up with Coleraine.

In July 1997 Andy joined Shelbourne and towards the end of 1997 he was transferred to Drogheda where he finished the 1997/98 season.

In October 1998 Andy joined St.Francis and spent the 1998/99 campaign there before retiring from senior football.
