Defender who started his career with Leyton Orient, joining the club as a trainee in 1990. Dave progressed through the O's youth ranks before being released during the 1994/95 season.

He joined Sittingbourne after leaving Brisbane Road and then moved on to Ashford at the start of 1995.

In October 1995 Dave joined Margate on loan and made his debut at left-back in a 2-1 win over Weymouth at Hartsdown Park on 21.10.95. He played regularly for the next few weeks and on 11.11.95 he scored a stunning 88th minute goal to secure a 2-1 home win over Yate having come on as a substitute. According to the Thanet Times Dave "unleashed a screaming shell of a shot" from fully 30 yards that beat the goalkeeper all ends up. He played twice more after that and after featuring in a 3-0 defeat at Braintree on 18.11.95 Dave went back to Ashford having made eight appearances (one as sub).

At the end of March 1996 Dave joined Erith & Belvedere from Ashford.

During the 2011/12 season he did some coaching with Ebbsfleet United's ladies team and during 2012/13 Dave was turning out for Port of London Authority in the Essex Veterans Football League.
