Defender who began his senior career with spells at Folkestone & Shepway and then Ramsgate during the 1975/76 season.

During the 1976/77 campaign Dick returned to Folkestone & Shepway and in the summer of 1977 he joined Margate.

Dick made his debut in a 1-0 win over Ramsgate in a Kent Senior Shield tie at Hartsdown Park on 6.8.77 and on 20.8.77 he scored an own goal from 20 yards in a 3-1 home defeat against Maidstone. His attempted back-pass "went tragically wrong" according to the Thanet Times and floated over Steve Bowtell. Dick went on to make 26 appearances (one as sub) during the 1977/78 season, usually playing at left-back but sometimes switching flanks. He scored once - in a 2-1 defeat at Romford on 2.1.78.

Dick was in and out of the side throughout the campaign and on 7.1.78 he was punched by a spectator during a 2-1 win at Aylesbury having ended up in the crowd after making a tackle. The incident led to the game being held up for ten minutes while order was restored. Dick left Margate at the end of the season having helped the club to win the Southern League 1st Division (South) title and he then moved to London to work as an engineer.

He returned to Kent after a year or so and played for Hythe during 1979/80.

Dick then rejoined Ramsgate for the start of the 1980/81 campaign and later had a short spell back at Folkestone during the 1984/85 season.

Dick was last heard of at Biggleswade in the mid 1980's where he played alongside his former Margate team-mate Vic Pain.
