Local player who attended Dane Court Grammar School in Broadstairs and played for Thanet United's Under-16 side during the 1984/85 season. Geoff progressed through Thanet's youth ranks and during the 1988/89 campaign he made 17 appearances for United's reserves before joining Ramsgate in the summer of 1989.

He made one first team appearance for the Rams during 1989/90 and played regularly for the reserves for several seasons. During 1990/91 Geoff was sent off twice for them in matches against Beckenham Reserves in October 1990 and Dover Reserves in April 1991.

Geoff left Ramsgate at the start of 1996 and returned to Hartsdown Park to join Margate. He played regularly for the reserves during the remainder of 1995/96 and on 27.4.96 Geoff made his first team debut in a game against Havant at Hartsdown. Margate won 3-2 and he scored one of the goals with a header from a corner. Geoff kept his place at centre-back for the next two matches and the Thanet Times said he "gave nothing away" in a 2-1 defeat at Fareham on 4.5.96 - the last day of the season.

Geoff stayed with the club for the 1996/97 campaign and played exclusively for the reserves. On 29.7.97 he made one last first team appearance when he played in a 3-1 home win over Ramsgate for the Link Music Cup but Geoff then returned to the reserves for the rest of the season. He carried on playing for the reserves until finally leaving Margate during the 1999/00 campaign.

Geoff dropped into local amateur football after his departure from Hartsdown Park and during the 2005/06 season he was turning out for Lesters.

In 2010 he was living in Herne Bay.
