5' 10" tall England Youth international midfielder born in Woolwich, London who started his career as a junior at Chelsea in 1967. Glenn then had unsuccessful trials at Charlton before drifting away from football for over a year.
In the summer of 1972 Glenn had a trial with Wolves and did well enough to become a regular in their Central League side for two months before joining Gillingham in September 1972, initially as an amateur. He soon signed professional forms and went on to make 23 first team appearances for the Gills.
Towards the end of 1974 Glenn moved on to Wimbledon at a time when they were still a Southern League club. He made his Dons debut in a 4-0 win over Cheshunt in the London Senior Cup at Plough Lane on 26.10.74. On 25.1.75 Glenn came on as a substitute in Wimbledon's famous 0-0 draw at Leeds in the FA Cup and he was a member of the squad that gained promotion to the Football League after winning the Southern League title in 1976/77. Glenn had already won two previous Southern League championship medals with the Dons. He made 11 Football League appearances during the early part of 1977/78 and scored once before a back injury led to him leaving Plough Lane. In total Glenn made 120 appearances for Wimbledon and scored ten goals.
He joined Maidstone in December 1977 and stayed there until September 1981 when he joined Dartford as player-coach.
His spell with the Darts ended in February 1982 as a result of a joke he told at an awards ceremony that wasn't appreciated by the local Mayor who was guest of honour. Glenn was sacked having scored twice in 20 appearances and the story made the national press.
After leaving Dartford Glenn linked up with Chatham and he stayed there until February 1984 when he joined Thanet United.
Glenn made his debut in a 3-3 draw at Basingstoke on 3.3.84. He turned in an impressive performance and had a hand in all three United goals. During a 1-0 win over Salisbury at Hartsdown on 17.3.84 the Thanet Times said that Glenn "looked the master tactician" and "never wasted a ball in midfield" but it turned out to be his last appearance for the club. Injury and work commitments stopped him from playing again and he decided to retire having made just four appearances for United.
Glenn worked in publishing and later ran his own advertising agency in Bedford.
During the 2002/03 season Glenn became assistant manager at Whitstable, working alongside former Margate player Matt Toms but in June 2003 he left the club to take up a position as Chief Executive at Gravesend & Northfleet. Glenn left Gravesend at the end of October 2004 and later became chairman of junior club Hollingbourne FC, a role he still held in 2009.
In the summer of 2010 Glenn was involved in Lashings World X1 cricket club's attempt to take over his former club Maidstone United. He was given the task of handling negotiations with the Stones by Lashings owner David Folb.
