6' 1" defender born in Hillingdon who moved to Thanet in the mid-2000's and started playing Sunday League football in the area.

Jake joined Margate for the start of the 2007/08 campaign and played regularly for the reserves during the first few months of the season. On 11.12.07 he made his first team debut at centre-back as Margate beat Welling 2-1 in a Kent Senior Cup tie at Hartsdown Park and Jake's next outing was as a substitute in a 5-1 defeat at Chelmsford in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 22.12.07. He came on after 82 minutes and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said he "coped well against a big City forward".

Jake didn't feature again until 22.1.08 when he wore the number six shirt as Margate entertained Chatham in a Kent Senior Cup tie. With the scores level at 1-1 he headed a last-minute winner from a corner and the Isle of Thanet Gazette said the goal "capped an impressive performance". Jake then made two sub appearances in the next three games but after he'd come on in a 3-2 defeat at Tonbridge on 9.2.08 he returned to the reserves.

Jake was recalled for the last league game of the season at Harrow on 26.4.08 and played the full 90 minutes at centre-back as Margate won 1-0. The Thanet Times said he "had a good game...easily outmuscling Harrow's forward line" and caretaker manager Steve McKimm told the paper "Jake Eastwood was great at the back. He was commanding, confident on the ball and won everything in the air." McKimm continued "It's a change from Sunday football but unless you give someone the chance, you don't know what they can do. He played a couple of Kent Cup games for us and did well and I thought he was the pick of the bunch on Saturday. I told him before the game he's got to get his head down and put his best foot forward if he wants a career in non-league football. It's not like Sunday football, where you can go out and do what you want."

Jake finished the campaign having scored once from six senior outings (three as sub) but in June 2008 he joined Ramsgate, signing a two-year contract there.

He was a regular in the Rams' first team during the early part of 2008/09 and made 14 Isthmian League Premier Division appearances, scoring once, before losing his place in the side. By the end of the season Jake was playing local football in the Thanet League.

In the summer of 2009 he signed for Kent League club Deal and on 3.10.09 Jake saved a penalty after taking over in goal in a home game against Sevenoaks after Deal's keeper had been sent off. The match finished 2-2. He left Deal before the end of the 2009/10 campaign and returned to local football in Thanet.

Jake was still playing in the Thanet Sunday Football League during 2011/12 and he also played twice in the Kent County League for Broadstairs that season.

Jake continued to play local football during the 2013/14 campaign.
