He featured in one pre-season friendly and Jamie then became a regular in Margate's reserves. On 8.11.06 he made his first team debut in the number seven shirt as a young Margate side lost 1-0 at VCD in the Kent Senior Cup and Jamie hit the post shortly before half-time. He spent the remainder of the 2006/07 campaign in the reserves.

In the summer of 2007 Jamie signed for Kent League outfit Faversham after being recommended to the club by their former reserve team manager Brett Harrison who'd seen him playing for Margate's reserves.

Jamie left Faversham a few weeks into the 2007/08 season as he started a course at Loughborough University and he played for their football team in the Midland Combination Premier Division up to the end of the 2009/10 campaign when he finished his studies.

In 2012 Jamie was working in the Communications Products (Brand Management) department at BSkyB and by then he was also a qualified coach.
