In the summer of 2013 Lanre signed for Margate and made his debut as a substitute in a 2-2 draw at Ramsgate on 2.8.13. It was the second leg of a tie played for the Thanet Challenge Cup. In his next outing, also from the bench, at Hampton & Richmond in the Isthmian League Premier Division on 10.8.13 Lanre set up a last minute winner as his cross was headed in by Matt Bodkin to make the score 2-1 to Margate.

Lanre then featured as a substitute in each of the next six matches and during that run he scored in a 2-0 win at Thamesmead on 24.8.13, smashing the ball home at the back post after a Matt Bodkin corner found him unmarked. He then made his first start for almost two months when he played as a winger in a 3-0 defeat against visitors Chesham in the FA Trophy on 16.11.13. Over the course of the next five matches Lanre made two further sub appearances and another two starts but a few days after wearing the number seven shirt in a 3-0 home defeat against Hastings in the Isthmian League Cup on 3.12.13 he was released. Lanre had scored twice from a total of 21 outings (16 as sub).

Later in December 2013 he signed for Thamesmead of the Premier Division and then at the end of February 2014 Lanre moved on to Conference South outfit Maidenhead. He stayed with the club for the start of the 2014/15 season too.
