Striker from the Wallace Park area of Gravesend who began his career with Gravesend & Northfleet. Mick was mainly a reserve team player there but also made a few appearances for the Fleet's first team. During the 1973/74 season he played once and Mick then played twice (once as a sub) during 1977/78, scoring in a 3-1 win at Yeovil on 20.4.78.

Mick joined Margate in the summer of 1979 and made his debut in a 3-2 home defeat at the hands of Crawley on 18.8.79, the opening day of the 1979/80 season. Mick played in the return game at Crawley three days later but shortly afterwards he suffered a perforated ulcer and left the club.
