5' 10" tall striker born in Lewisham who started his senior career with Hythe. Micky spent seven seasons there, interrupted by occasional spells at Folkestone, before joining Folkestone on a more permanent basis for 1985/86. During that campaign an article in Folkestone's programme revealed that Micky's ambition was to play a complete season for Folkestone and that he wanted to become an airline pilot. He returned to Hythe towards the end of 1985/86 but then rejoined Folkestone for the start of the 1986/87 season.

Micky made several more switches between the two clubs over the next couple of years and also had a spell at Herne Bay.

He started the 1988/89 season at Hythe and on 17.8.88 he scored a hat-trick for them in a 7-0 win at Ramsgate.

In November 1988 Micky joined Thanet and made his debut in a 6-1 home defeat at the hands of Poole on 19.11.88. He scored the United goal with what the Thanet Times called "a fine header" and kept his place for the two matches that followed. Micky then missed two games but marked his return to the side by scoring with a lob in a 4-1 defeat at Trowbridge on 10.12.88. He then enjoyed a run of four games in the first team and scored again in a 2-1 win at Canterbury on 26.12.88. It turned out to be his last goal for the club as after playing in a 1-0 defeat against Folkestone at Hartsdown on 2.1.89 Micky was hurt in an accident at work and left United a few weeks later. He'd scored three times in eight appearances for Thanet.

Micky soon rejoined Hythe and stayed there until moving to Kent County League outfit Folkestone Invicta for the 1990/91 season. At the time they were a separate club to Folkestone Town of the Southern League. Micky stayed with Invicta for the 1991/92 season, by which time they were the only senior club in Folkestone and were playing in the Kent League having taken over Cheriton Road following the demise of Folkestone Town.

He started 1992/93 at Folkestone but was sacked in January 1993 for a breach of the club's disciplinary code. Micky's former Thanet United colleagues Gary and Terry Collins were also axed at the same time.

Micky then had a further spell with Hythe before going back to Folkestone again in the summer of 1995.
