Pacy England Youth international goalscoring winger born in Kensington, London who started his career with Fulham before joining Queens Park Rangers in November 1951.

Mike made his first team debut for the R's in a 2-0 home defeat against Birmingham in Division 3 on 24.11.51 and went on to make nearly 100 first team appearances during eight years at Loftus Road.

In September 1959 he moved on to Yiewsley and Mike spent 18 months there before signing for Ramsgate in May 1961.

In the summer of 1962 Mike joined Margate but missed the opening two months of the 1962/63 season due to an Achilles injury. He finally made his debut in a 1-1 draw with Romford in a Southern League Cup at Hartsdown Park on 22.10.62. On 3.11.62 Mike was in the Margate side that lost 3-1 at Millwall in the FA Cup 1st Round but his Achilles problem continued to hamper his performances and he only made four more first team appearances, scoring once, before leaving the club in January 1963.

Mike then signed for Canterbury and went on to be a great success with City. He was their top scorer during 1964/65 with 19 league goals and his tally included five goals in a 10-0 win over Deal on 30.1.65 - City's all-time record victory. Mike made a total of 173 Southern League appearances for Canterbury and scored 51 goals before signing for Crawley in July 1967.

He spent three seasons there before joining Rayners Lane as player-manager in 1970. He was still in that role during 1971/72.

Mike later went on to have managerial success with Harrow Borough, initially as player-manager, and spent eight years in charge there before retiring in 1985.

He worked for John Mowlem & Company - an international construction company.

In 2002 Mike was living in Harrow.
