6' 2" tall striker who started his career with Ramsgate during the 1982/83 season and then joined Dover for the 1983/84 campaign, making two first team appearances there. One of them was in an FA Trophy tie against Thanet United.

Steve moved to Thanet in February 1984 and made his debut as a substitute in a 1-0 win over Andover at Hartsdown Park on 18.2.84. He then made his first full appearance in a 4-1 defeat at Tonbridge on 25.2.84. Steve went on to make a total of eight appearances (three as sub) before leaving the club in April 1984. He scored once - cracking home a fine volley in a 2-1 win at Hounslow on 26.3.84.

Steve later played for Herne Bay and was with them during 1986 and again during the 1987/88 and 1988/89 seasons.

In the summer of 1989 he returned to Hartsdown to join Margate and played for the reserves throughout the 1989/90 campaign, making 25 appearances and scoring six goals. Steve was also an unused substitute for the first team on a few occasions.

He stayed at Margate for the start of the 1990/91 season and at that time he was living in Chestfield, near Whitstable and working as a sales manager. On 15.12.90 Steve was sent off in a 2-1 win over Thames Polytechnic Reserves at Hartsdown and he made a total of seven appearances for the reserves before leaving the club.

He joined Kent County League club Phoenix Rovers for the 1991/92 campaign.

He worked as a Sales Manager during his spell with Margate and lived in Chestfield, near Whitstable.
