Aggressive Dartford-born midfielder who started his senior career with his hometown club, joining them from local amateur football for the 1991/92 season. Trevor scored once in 27 appearances (13 as sub) for the Darts during 1991/92 and made four more appearances (three as sub) at the start of 1992/93 before Dartford folded. In September 1992 he signed for Margate.

Trevor made his debut as a substitute as Margate lost 4-1 at home to Chertsey in the FA Cup on 26.9.92 and then made his first start in midfield on 3.10.92 - a 1-0 defeat at Fareham. He kept his place for Margate's next three matches but on 17.10.92 Trevor was sent off for a second bookable offence during a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Hastings in an FA Trophy tie. The Thanet Times said the challenge which led to his dismissal was a "woeful tackle". Having served his suspension Trevor found it hard to regain his place and when he played in a 4-0 defeat at home to Ashford on 8.12.92 it was his first start since the Hastings game almost two months earlier. Trevor played regularly during what remained of 1992 and the early part of 1993 but after wearing the number 11 shirt in a 3-1 defeat against Fisher at Hartsdown Park on 19.1.93 he fell out of favour again. With no prospect of a first team recall Trevor left the club and signed for Boreham Wood in March 1993 having made 16 appearances (three as sub) without scoring for Margate.

Trevor later briefly left Boreham Wood to join Hendon before returning to the club. In November 1993 he went back to Dartford.

He made 58 appearances (eight as sub) and scored once for the Darts during 1993/94 and 1994/95 and then linked up with Aveley in the summer of 1995.

Trevor moved on to Tilbury in January 1997 but went back to Aveley towards the end of the 1997/98 season.

He made 13 appearances (two as sub) without scoring for Aveley during 1998/99 and then went back to Dartford once more for the 1999/00 campaign.

Trevor later played for Redhill and Greenwich Borough before linking up with Kent County League side Phoenix Sports for the 2001/02 season where he played the last senior football of his career.

He also played for North Kent Sunday League side Welsh Tavern from 2000/01 to 2004/05.
